Ingredients
3 large ripe avocados, peeled, pitted, and diced
1 cup diced tomatoes (cherry tomatoes work great)
Half a small red onion, finely diced
1 large jalapeño, cored and finely diced
2/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro, loosely packed
Juice of 1 lime (about 2 tablespoons)
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, or more to taste
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
Instructions
Dice avocados and transfer to a large bowl
Add diced tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño, and cilantro
Squeeze in lime juice, then season with salt and cumin
Gently mix to combine, avoiding mashing avocados
Adjust salt and lime to taste
Notes
Use the ripest avocados for maximum flavor
Avoid overmixing to maintain chunky texture
Store in an airtight container with plastic wrap pressed onto surface to prevent browning
Variation: Add diced mango or black beans for extra sweetness or protein
