Description

A luscious no-bake dessert combining light angel food cake, creamy layers, and sweet glazed strawberries. Perfect for warm-weather gatherings, this crowd-pleasing treat is easy to assemble and packed with fruity elegance.

Ingredients

Scale

14 ounces pre-made angel food cake
16-ounce package fresh strawberries (hulled and sliced)
3/4 cup homemade strawberry glaze (or store-bought)
8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
2 cups powdered sugar (divided)
1/3 cup milk (whole or 2%)
1 cup heavy whipping cream (chilled)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Neufchâtel cheese (optional, for a lighter version)
Frozen strawberries, thawed and drained (optional substitute)

Instructions

Slice the angel food cake horizontally into two layers if desired.
Whip heavy cream with 1/2 cup powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese with remaining 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
Layer the angel food cake in a 9×13-inch dish.
Spread half the cream cheese mixture, followed by the whipped cream layer.
Add a layer of sliced strawberries, then spread half the strawberry glaze.
Repeat with remaining cream cheese and whipped cream layers.
Top with remaining strawberries and glaze. Chill for 1-2 hours before serving.

Notes

Use pre-made angel food cake for convenience. Fresh strawberries work best but frozen (drained) are acceptable.
Chill the dessert at least 1 hour for optimal texture.
Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
Adjust sweetness by reducing powdered sugar by 1/4 cup for a lighter version.
