Description
Zesty Nacho Deviled Eggs are a fun twist on a classic snack, combining creamy egg yolk filling with taco seasoning, mustard, and crunchy crushed Doritos. They are quick to make, easy to serve, and perfect for parties, picnics, and game day spreads.
Ingredients
6 large eggs
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon taco seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup crushed Doritos
Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Hard boil the eggs by placing them in a pot of cold water, bringing to a boil, then reducing to a simmer for 10 to 12 minutes.
2. Remove the eggs from the pot and let them cool in ice water.
3. Peel the eggs and cut them in half lengthwise.
4. Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a bowl.
5. Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, taco seasoning, salt, and pepper until smooth.
6. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
7. Sprinkle crushed Doritos on top for crunch.
8. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
9. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
Keep the crushed Doritos separate until just before serving so they stay crisp.
You can boil the eggs and make the yolk filling a day ahead.
For a smoother filling, mash the yolks very well or press them through a sieve.
Store leftovers in a covered container in the refrigerator and eat within 2 days.
